   Google images is a great source for viewing old maps. Use a search like: "western hemisphere maps 1700′s" or "western hemisphere maps 1400′s" to find maps of the period you need. Many of these sites try to sell you maps but, you can see the map and may be able to print a smaller version on your printer.
